Dear Mom,
… Last week our car wasn't done yet so we asked the Elders to barrow their bikes and Its been fun and a little tiring to ride them but then we did get our car back on Saturday. On a bike you get more advantages to talk to people than you would in a car, but you have to plan on time wise on when and where you want to be. I got a package from the Hanson's this week. I love the letters from people. We have an investigator named Louise (who was a media referral). She heard about Mitt Romney and on Mormon.org requested for a BOM so we went to contact her. We have meet with her 2 times so far, the second visit we invited her to be baptized. On Sunday we called her to see if she was coming to church, when sister Hall talked to her she said shes felt when reading the BOM that it is true and that she wanted to be baptized but we will check on her this week to get things worked out. I am grateful to be a missionary and for the way the Lord plans things out for us. Keep up the great work you all do. I love you all so very much and Don't forget so does Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ!
With Love,
Sister Hatch

Dear Mom,
I love hearing about Zeke and Claudia. Zeke is such a funny boy!
I am glad you had an enjoyable time at Bishops cabin with the young women, that was a fun experience to have when I was in young women's. Also glad the young women got to enjoy a little bit of the snow. That is a great scripture that you shared and glad you are pondering on it a little more too. The ipads are fun and great tools to have I bet, a great way to stay connected with those you meet. Our mission should be getting ipads soon. The less active member lives quite away so we have not yet gotten to see him, but we will eventually. This past week I am grateful for my legs and for the members in our ward who are willing to give us rides to places that we need to be. We were lucky because anytime it was raining a member was there to pick us up. I got to cook my ravioli for a dinner that we had with an investigator named Melinda (the one who trains dogs) which was really fun and neat. She loves having company and talks quite a bit but we are getting her to progress. We also got an investigator named Tony to come to a missionary class and to church on Sunday, which was awesome. Its been a great week, we have been able to use our creative minds a little more. I Love to do tough, I love being a missionary! So this was from past weeks but this is what sister hall wrote and I found it better said than I could say it:"Also every time Sister Hatch does something funny it reminds me I need to make a list because she just keeps adding to it. So just a few. We saw this spider coming down and hanging from the ceiling and it was lime green so that was cool. Then we just left it there for a minute because we were just finishing up a lesson. So then at the end she forgets and stands up and her head runs right into the Spiders and so I have to smack it off, good thing it was lime green because it was nice and easy to spot in her hair. It was just so funny because she is the one who spotted it and then she ran into it. Then another day she was walking out from a dinner with a member and she ran right into their glass door... also funny. Another time she fell off the side of a side-walk (I guess that's why they call it a side walk right, because it has a side? :P ) speed humps and steps are also a hazard sometimes. Once it was raining and as we were quietly leaving this persons house she opens her umbrella and bam! she hits the wind chimes and the dogs start barking and it was great. So then also that same night we were walking in the rain and she has her umbrella and all the sudden it closes, it is still fully extended but the top is just folded down as if you were putting it away. and I just look at her and she has this expression like "What just happened?" I guess she has an umbrella that has a open and close button.
haha. So fun stories with sister Hatch. I feel like I should be writing a comic series or something with the headline. Mishaps of missionaries (based on the true story of Sister Hatch.. and other missionaries of the Jacksonville Mission USA). She's a real crack up." -Sister Hall.Keep doing the things the lord wants you to do, for through us he can truly work mighty miracles! I love you all! With Love,Sister Hatch
01-07-2014DearMom, Glad you all have came up with a great way to study the scriptures andeveryone is participating in it. Studying sure does bring us closer to our savior and helps us know more. keep up that great studying. I know that even with the goals you have set you will be able to achieve them with the lords help. Glad Elder Merrill and Johnston are keeping busy and getting you all involved in the work as well, for every member is a missionary! You all have very sweet testimonies, and I love reading them. keep building upon that testimony. Well last week Sister Hall and I have been working hard to get our solid investigators to progress towards baptism and just getting more investigators solid. Its still a work in progress but we can accomplish great things. So it has been raining a few days out here but not to hard. After it rains it gets pretty cold. Its been cold today and yesterday, it takes a little while for things to dry. So there was one day towards the end of the evening we were planning to go see a less active member. We get to their street and the road is a little narrow, we needed to turn around to pull up by their house because we had passed it. So Sister Hall goes to turn around and ends a little off the road, i get out to back her up but the car got stuck in mud so she tried pulling forward a little bit and backing up but got stuck more and was close to a rock, so we got out and went to ask the neighbors near by if they can help, the less active member had found out we were stuck because his wife was coming home and saw us. He and some other men tried to help us but lucky for us someone down the street got stuck on the side of the road as well and had called the tow truck. The tow truck guy was nice enough to pull us out and the less activemember was very nice and helpful to stick with us. Sister Hall and I are going to give something special to this less active member for helping us out soon.So that's what happened this week. Its been a pretty great week starting out. Monday we took the car to get fixed up for a damage that was done before our incident and the little scrap after our incident. So we got to walk to our destination for that day, which was nice because then you can talk to more people on feet and see things we never have seen when in the car. I love being a missionary and meeting the people that we need to meet! I love you all very much! With Love, Sister Hatch 12-30-2013
Dear Mom,It was Awesome to see you all this week through skype. I hope you all had a great Christmas and are going to enjoy a happy new year! Its almost 2014. Well this week our other baptism went well so now we have two new members in our ward and I am looking forward to bringing more people closer to Heavenly father this upcoming year. This week was good but there was one interesting thing that happened. we meet a Jehovah witness man who told us all about his religion and what he believes so sister hall and i just stood there listening to him which is good to do. He had a few questions about our church and we answered some of them but we when we see him again we will be able to answer his question. We are working on finding new people to teach. I can tell you that if you just open your mouth the lord will help you say what you need to say to the people he has placed before you. So all has been going well!I love you all!
With Love,
Sister Hatch
