Letter #14- Open House

March 3rd, 2014
Dear everyone,
So this week has been great.sister hall and i are looking forward to a bunch of baptism this upcoming month. we had an open house on Saturday where people who aren't familiar with our religion can come and learn about the different programs in our church and what we are all about. it turned out pretty good, people came and got pictures with Jesus Christ. I am grateful to be a part of this church and to meet the people that i have meet. This week we were able to help a lady move things around in her house, its little things like that make me feel good and happy because I know when I am in the service of my fellow beings I am in the service of God. I love you all and So does Heavenly Father and Jesus christ!

Letter #13- Adventures in Florida

02/24/2014

Dear Everybody,
Have any of you tried any thing interest before like Frog legs? Well I got to try frog legs from a fish-fry they had on Saturday and at first it tasted like chicken but then had a pond froggy flavor after the second bit. It was great, Sister Hall tried it, she isn't a big fan of fish but she found it interesting too. Well this week another interesting thing that happened was we were driving through a apartment complex and there was this one guy in his car who drove past and then he stops and we stopped and through the car window asks us if we had a boyfriend and if he could get our numbers but we didn't give him our number because we said we can call him to invite him to church, so we got his number.Sister Hall and I just left laughing because of these people and the random things they do. On Sunday we were happy to have a man named Tony come to church for the second time who has been taking the lessons from us for quit a while. I am grateful to be out here in Ocala, Florida and to be sharing what I know with those that we meet. I love ya'll just as Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ Love you!
With Love,
Sister Hatch

Letter #12- New Toys

02/18/2014

Dearly beloved Children of God in Arizona,
This past week has been great learning lots and Keeping the lords work going. This week Sister Hall and I got to use I-pads as effectively as we can by showing Mormon Message videos to people that we meet. I know these videos that have been provided for us to share are truly inspired and worth sharing. There are alot of things out there that we can do to help us change. I know out here on my mission I have been changing myself from what I have been learning and experiencing because there is so much to still learn. I have a question to ask you all, like Alma in the book of mormon had asked, "Have ye received his image in your countenances? Have ye experienced this mighty Change in your hearts?" -Alma 5:14. we are to prepare our self's to have a mighty change of heart by reading the scriptures and saying our prayers so that we can stand against the temptations of evil, building those strong walls like Moroni did to protect his people.I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ Loves us all and want us to become better every day in all that we do and say. We have this one lady named Tilly, who has two daughters, she is so sweet and is doing all that she can to come closer to our heavenly father.I grateful for the many people I am and have yet to meet out here, Its exciting to find out and see who is going to be behind that door we knock on. I am grateful to be a missionary! Keep up the great work you all do at home! I love you all!
With Love,
Sister Hatch

Letter #11- "Heavenly father and Jesus Christ truly do Love us all!"

02/10/2014

Dear Mom,
Heavenly father and Jesus Christ truly do Love us all! Last week on Thursday, we got I-pads as a whole mission! Sister Hall and I are still working on getting use to them and figuring how to work them. The lord is truly putting a lot of trust in us to teach people online, nationally and Face to face using the neat devices to help enhance the work effectively. I only have one more week left of training! Its crazy how fast time can fly when your putting all your effort and focus on the lords work! some pretty interesting stories that happened this week was we had a preacher guy tell us that the black were the chosen ones and ghettos are part of the tribes of Israel (cant remember what he said exactly). Its just great to be a part of and have the knowledge on the full gospel of Jesus Christ! I Hope you all have a great Valentines week! I love you all!
With Love,
Sister Hatch

Letter #10- Small Miracles

02/03/2014

Dear Mom,
Well this past week was pretty good, On Monday one of our investigators asked us if we wanted to come help him with some yard work (no missionary can put down a service opportunity) but it was trying to get a day that would work for him and us. So on Saturday evening we went to his house and racked up leaves it was great and we had a neat discussion with him about faith. On Wednesday and Thursday Sister Hall and I went on exchanges with the Sister Training Leaders,Sister Dodd and Phelon. They are such great leaders, every leaders are called for a reason. I was with Sister Phelon in Gainesville, which is where a YSA ward and branch are. Some neat things that happened was we were able to get into contact with a less active and had a really good lesson with her. Also we were just blessed to have been at the right place at the right time to meet the people we wanted to get into contact with. And I know asking inspiring questions or questions of the soul really does help when you are acting with the spirit! Sister Hall and Dodd had some awesome miracles too. On Sunday we got a less active to church because she hasn't been there in a while.Sunday was just great, I love hearing the members testimonies! The Lord blesses you when you are exactly obedient and do all that you can through him.Keep up the awesome things you all do.I love you all so very much!
With Love,
Sister Hatch

Letters #6-9 (sorry this one is kind of crazy!)

01-20-2014

Dear Mom,

…  Last week our car wasn't done yet so we asked the Elders to barrow their bikes and Its been fun and a little tiring to ride them but then we did get our car back on Saturday. On a bike you get more advantages to talk to people than you would in a car, but you have to plan on time wise on when and where you want to be. I got a package from the Hanson's this week. I love the letters from people. We have an investigator named Louise (who was a media referral). She heard about Mitt Romney and on Mormon.org requested for a BOM so we went to contact her. We have meet with her 2 times so far, the second visit we invited her to be baptized. On Sunday we called her to see if she was coming to church, when sister Hall talked to her she said shes felt when reading the BOM that it is true and that she wanted to be baptized but we will check on her this week to get things worked out. I am grateful to be a missionary and for the way the Lord plans things out for us. Keep up the great work you all do. I love you all so very much and Don't forget so does Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ!

With Love,

Sister Hatch

Dear Mom,

I love hearing about Zeke and Claudia. Zeke is such a funny boy!

I am glad you had an enjoyable time at Bishops cabin with the young women, that was a fun experience to have when I was in young women's. Also glad the young women got to enjoy a little bit of the snow. That is a great scripture that you shared and glad you are pondering on it a little more too. The ipads are fun and great tools to have I bet, a great way to stay connected with those you meet. Our mission should be getting ipads soon. The less active member lives quite away so we have not yet gotten to see him, but we will eventually. This past week I am grateful for my legs and for the members in our ward who are willing to give us rides to places that we need to be. We were lucky because anytime it was raining a member was there to pick us up. I got to cook my ravioli for a dinner that we had with an investigator named Melinda (the one who trains dogs) which was really fun and neat. She loves having company and talks quite a bit but we are getting her to progress. We also got an investigator named Tony to come to a missionary class and to church on Sunday, which was awesome. Its been a great week, we have been able to use our creative minds a little more. I Love to do tough, I love being a missionary!
So this was from past weeks but this is what sister hall wrote and I found it better said than I could say it:

"Also every time Sister Hatch does something funny it reminds me I need to make a list because she just keeps adding to it.  So just a few. We saw this spider coming down and hanging from the ceiling and it was lime green so that was cool. Then we just left it there for a minute because we were just finishing up a lesson. So then at the end she forgets and stands up and her head runs right into the Spiders and so I have to smack it off, good thing it was lime green because it was nice and easy to spot in her hair. It was just so funny because she is the one who spotted it and then she ran into it. Then another day she was walking out from a dinner with a member and she ran right into their glass door... also funny.  Another time she fell off the side of a side-walk (I guess that's why they call it a side walk right, because it has a side? :P )   speed humps and steps are also a hazard sometimes. Once it was raining and as we were quietly leaving this persons house she opens her umbrella and bam! she hits the wind chimes and the dogs start barking and it was great. So then also that same night we were walking in the rain and she has her umbrella and all the sudden it closes, it is still fully extended but the top is just folded down as if you were putting it away. and I just look at her and she has this expression like "What just happened?" I guess she has an umbrella that has a open and close button.

haha. So fun stories with sister Hatch. I feel like I should be writing a comic series or something with the headline. Mishaps of missionaries (based on the true story of Sister Hatch.. and other missionaries of the Jacksonville Mission USA). She's a real crack up." -Sister Hall.
Keep doing the things the lord wants you to do, for through us he can truly work mighty miracles! I love you all!
With Love,
Sister Hatch

DearMom,                                              Glad you all have came up with a great way to study the scriptures and
everyone is participating in it. Studying sure does bring us closer to our savior and helps us know more. keep up that great studying. I know that even with the goals you have set you will be able to achieve them with the lords help. Glad Elder Merrill and Johnston are keeping busy and getting you all involved in the work as well, for every member is a missionary! You all have very sweet testimonies, and I love reading them. keep building upon that testimony. Well last week Sister Hall and I have been working hard to get our solid investigators to progress towards baptism and just getting more investigators solid.  Its still a work in progress but we can accomplish great things. So it has been raining a few days out here but not to hard. After it rains it gets pretty cold. Its been cold today and yesterday, it takes a little while for things to dry. So there was one day towards the end of the evening we were planning to go see a less active member. We get to their street and the road is a little narrow, we needed to turn around to pull up by their house because we had passed it. So Sister Hall goes to turn around and ends a little off the road, i get out to back her up but the car got stuck in mud so she tried pulling forward a little bit and backing up but got stuck more and was close to a rock, so we got out and went to ask the neighbors near by if they can help, the less active member had found out we were stuck because his wife was coming home and saw us. He and some other men tried to help us but lucky for us someone down the street got stuck on the side of the road as well and had called the tow truck. The tow truck guy was nice enough to pull us out and the less active
member was very nice and helpful to stick with us. Sister Hall and I are going to give something special to this less active member for helping us out soon.
So that's what happened this week. Its been a pretty great week starting out. Monday we took the car to get fixed up for a damage that was done before our incident and the little scrap after our incident. So we got to walk to our destination for that day, which was nice because then you can talk to more people on feet and see things we never have seen when in the car. I love being a missionary and meeting the people that we need to meet! I love you all very much!

Dear Mom,
It was Awesome to see you all this week through skype. I hope you all had a great Christmas and are going to enjoy a happy new year! Its almost 2014. Well this week our other baptism went well so now we have two new members in our ward and I am looking forward to bringing more people closer to Heavenly father this upcoming year. This week was good but there was one interesting thing that happened. we meet a Jehovah witness man who told us all about his religion and what he believes so sister hall and i just stood there listening to him which is good to do. He had a few questions about our church and we answered some of them but we when we see him again we will be able to answer his question.
We are working on finding new people to teach.  I can tell you that if you just open your mouth the lord will help you say what you need to say to the people he has placed before you. So all has been going well!
I love you all!

With Love,

Sister Hatch
